What it's good for

It is 1080 × 1080 pixels and 3.6 seconds long, and it plays once, then rests on its last frame. It comes with a background, which you can switch off above to get a transparent file.

The colours, fonts and timing come from the brand kit you pick. Each brand has its own motion style, so the same animation moves slower for a calm brand and quicker for a snappy one.

How to use it on a website

  1. Pick your brand above, then download the dotLottie file.
  2. Add it to your site's files, for example as /animations/logo-orbit.lottie.

Good to know

  • Keep it under three seconds

    Long intros get skipped. Two to three seconds is plenty for a logo reveal.

  • Use a simple version of your logo

    Logos with fewer, bolder shapes animate better and stay readable when small. An SVG file works best.

  • End on a still

    Let the logo rest for a moment at the end, so the last frame works as a thumbnail too.

  • Respect reduced motion

    Some people ask their device for less motion. Check prefers-reduced-motion and show a still frame for them instead.
