Questions
Do I need to know animation?
No. Pick something from the library, type your words and export it. The timeline is there if you ever want more control.
Is Mosso only for Lottie?
No. Lottie is what Mosso does best, since it's the right format for websites and apps, but the same project also exports MP4, GIF, transparent WebM and PNG frames.
Are the library animations really free?
Yes. Download the Lottie or dotLottie file from any library page, with no account, and use it in your own projects and client work, including commercial work. You can't resell them as templates or stock files.
Can I use what I make for my business?
Yes. What you make is yours, and you can use it commercially.
Where does my work live?
In your browser. If you make an account, your projects also sync, so you can open them on any computer.
Does it work with Figma, Canva or After Effects?
You can paste SVG from Figma or upload your logo and images. GIF and MP4 files go straight into Canva, and PNG frames or transparent video go into After Effects and other video editors.
What is Lottie?
A small animation file that websites and apps play as sharp vectors at any size. dotLottie is the same animation in a smaller, zipped file.
How is Mosso different from Jitter?
Jitter is a good tool, and it's made for designers. Mosso is for everyone else. You start from a library you can edit, your brand gets applied for you, and Lottie comes first, with video and GIF alongside.
