Edit a template

Templates are the quickest way to something that looks finished. Every one is a normal project underneath, so you can change as much or as little as you like.

Open a template

1. Find one on the templates page or in the library and click Edit. Inside Mosso, you can also start from the library on your projects page, or drag a whole animation in from the Library tab.

2. Mosso makes a new project from it in your brand kit and opens it on a frame where everything is on screen.

Change the words

Double-click any text on the canvas and type. The text keeps its animation, so a headline that pops in word by word still pops in with your words.

Change the colours and fonts

The template already uses your brand kit. To try another kit, open the Brand tab on the left and pick one. Mosso asks whether to apply it: click Apply to project and it swaps the colours and fonts in every layer. One undo puts it all back.

Change the timing

Drag keyframes along the timeline to move them earlier or later. To make the whole animation longer, drag the end of the ruler. Or ask the AI for "slower" or "faster" and it retimes the project for you.

Change the size

Open canvas settings in the top bar and pick another size, or ask the AI for "a 9:16 version for stories".

Export it

Press Cmd or Ctrl+E and pick a format. MP4 for social, Lottie for your website or app, GIF for email. More in the export guide.
